Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Oct 27, 2010 7:39 am Hi, does anyone have a corner pantry some like the below kitchen? If you do, how do you find it? It worked fairly well, and there was only the one corner cupboard to get irritated by. The bottom one doesn't look like it would fit in the same space at the top one - it shows two walls, not three like the top one. If the corner cabinets don't bother you, it should also work fine. Status: sold our first house, moved in with parents, bought our second in Pakenham, still planning to build in a few years time. Re: Corner Pantry U Shape Kitchen 3Oct 27, 2010 10:58 am I have a U kitchen and pantry in the corner. its actually a good layout for me. Although the one thing i would change is have a 'secret' cupboard the other side of the benchtop so i can use the corner of the cupboard easier. Pantry is a good size compaired to the wall two door type ones and you can have the broom/bin etc in the pantry as its walk in. Just to confuse you further we went with a pantry and pantry drawers. The drawers are great! The top one has tea, coffee, milo, spreads, spices etc in it, the second has a tub with cooking items in it, gravox, pearl barley, sachets etc and a tub with baking items, patty pans, hundreds and thousands, icing, food colouring etc. The bottom drawer has other stuff, kids snacks, biscuits, just snacky things really. Our corner pantry has double doors - much better for easy access to the shelves (you can walk right in and there's heaps of room), but not as good as drawers or slide-out pantry units. Basically. If the shelves are fixed then they will be screwed in just the same as the rest of the carcass.
