I cant help myself, I cant imagine how the little one will go when he's bigger! I love the ghost stools at mattblatt . They are available in clear and black too. Completely unobtrusive, perfect! Good luck!! Re: Bar Stools with or without backs - what do you prefer? 24Jan 09, 2011 1:10 pm I have 4 bar stools that are really dining chairs that have higher legs. They are soooooooooooooo comfy. We eat at the kitchen bench a lot and as yet have not sat at the dining table . The kid safety issue is a concern for me, even though they are old enough to know better, accidents do happen. Kids cannot seem to resist the temptation to spin, rock whatever if they can, in my opinion. I did not even consider a seat without a back. I always end up hunched over when I sit on a stool. I also wanted my guests to be comfortable and be able to sit there comfortably for a while when I am cooking in the kitchen. Everyone that has sat on them agree that they are really comfy. Except we have to watch my grandfather as he tends to fall asleep on the chair (so comfy) and tends to topple sideways www.themaxbuild.blogspot.com forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20717&start=300 www.leahspaperpassion.blogspot.com Re: Bar Stools with or without backs - what do you prefer? 25Jan 10, 2011 3:17 pm We have bar stools with backs - they matched our dining chairs so we bought them at the same time as our dinning setting. They are very comfortable and definitely worth the $150 we paid for each chair - they have had great use over the last 4 years as we eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at our kitchen bench - not worth setting a 10 seater table for 2 people in my mind The seats are also made of leather so very hard wearing and easy to clean - I just wipe them over with a damp cloth as needed. I picked these up a couple of months ago from IKEA. My Family discount meant that they only cost $49 each. Re: Bar Stools with or without backs - what do you prefer? 31Jan 11, 2011 9:13 am With regards to having a back on the stools or not I think it also depends on the room that they are going into. My bar stools are right near my table and if they had backs on them then it would be way too crowded. w/out backs I can tuck them under the breakfast bar.
