Under-mount sinks certainly look good but I wonder if anyone has had any issues with chipping of the corner edges of the bench top material? And if this happens the whole thing mightn't look so good at all.

Thanks Olga Re: Undermount sinks 3Sep 24, 2010 7:24 pm I don't have chips as such, but the edges of the bench material (reconstituted stone) is definitely scuffed around the sink holes. Large items such as baking dishes and frypans can get 'stuck' in my sink under the rim and need some maneuvering to get out, which grinds against the edges. Also, the other thing I hate about the undermount sink is the amount of yucky grime that builds up under the rim, I seem to be forever getting a (dedicated) toothbrush to scrub it out.
