Hi
I’ve been having a really hard time choosing benchtops for a new kitchen and hoping to get feedback from people with more experience with them.
We wanted a square finish that is the same around the benchtop but stone is out of the question, it’s too much to spend for out modest unit.
So I’ve been looking at laminates with square edges all around, so that each corner is the same.
To avoid seeing the black line, I though about getting ABS edging.
Mitchells Laminates do this. They make edging with laminex colours. www.mitchelllaminates.com.au/
I think this would look great, the edge could be a darker colour and become a feature, but I’m told that ABS edging is unreliable around wet areas and will start peeling off in a few years. Does anyone have experience with this sort of finish or with standard square edged laminate benchtops.
Do you have issues with pealing or cracking?
Recommendation?
