Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Aug 19, 2010 12:25 pm Hi there, We are just starting on our kitchen renovation in the North-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne and are looking for recommendations for a company to demolish old kitchen, and design & install our new kitchen. We have met with Freedom Kitchens, but I've read a couple bad things about them online, so want to get another couple of recommendations - thanks in advance! EDIT: or any places to avoid would be great too! Re: Please recommend a kitchen company! (Melbourne) 2Aug 20, 2010 3:56 pm We found Grandview Kitchens very good. Based in Bayswater but do work in other suburbs. www.grandviewkitchens.com.au eimaj Re: Please recommend a kitchen company! (Melbourne) 3Aug 27, 2010 11:38 am I have got 5 quotes from 3 small companies and 2 large companies with multiple showrooms. I think I'm gonna go with Zesta Kitchen because their price seems more competitive and feel more confident they got 4 store fronts all around the eastern suburbs. All the prices were quoted on the spot mainly cause most of the cabinets are pre cut to several sizes so they know exactly how much it will cost per kitchen. They have limited range but it was far more adequate for what I need which is just Vinyl gloss white doors and cs bench top (ice snow). Re: Please recommend a kitchen company! EDIT: or any places to avoid would be great too! Most companies will remove the old kitchen for about $300 to $500 make sure plumbing costs and electrical is also included however there are many kitchen designer companies out there but not all are certified all certified will charge more rather lot more. If you want to do it cheaply use a cabinet maker they do undercut kitchen companies some will do entire kitchens others will only supply and install new kitchens and or appliances most can contract other tradies or you can search for them on internet. Do not use or call LTK or SVEA they after your money Re: Please recommend a kitchen company! (Melbourne) 6Sep 05, 2010 9:59 pm Grandview are making our low VOC kitchen too. We're really happy with their price, and even more so with their willingness to work outside their comfort zone with new products. I gather they've just decided (on a price basis) to use E0 for all their whiteboard. This is a great decision, means everyone who buys from them will automatically have less indoor air pollution. e. I was being kind to the builder. With the amount charged for the upgrade the builder is probably charging closer to 100% margin.
