I dont want the little cupboards over the fridge - I cant reach, would prefer a recess for a TV ? Has anyone seen this. I dont like that I have 1 pot draw I dont like that I will need to lean down for the microwave I am thinking of maybe putting the ovens and mocrowave on top of each other in one long line..... what do you think - is it a TOTAL mess? You could make your island deeper and put more cuboards on the 'other' side. Check out the 'show me your kitchen' thread, HEAPS of ideas in there. We have cubboards over our fridge, and they are surprisingly easy to reach, and also a good spot for things you don't use often. i have seen a pic of a tv over the fridge in a kitchen magazine. you could have a concealed range instead of canopy for more overhead storage. Please forgive my scratching - its a bit basic but you get the point. Its still not perfect though.... im thinking it might be time to call in an expert kitchen designer.... Ive seen appliance cubboards with cupboard doors instead of rollups that look smart, might be worth considering? For your pantry, is it already built? You could get the door made with the cabinetry but obvously it will cost extra... if the pantry and door is existing maybe think about paint colours to tie it together. if the pantry does not exist, perhaps consider removing it altogether and just have cabinetry pantry. I really like the ones that have drawers at the bottom and cupboard at the top. definitley go and see some cabinet makers or kitchen places, they often do designs for free (they don't give you pictures but they can show you thier design and what will fit where) Our kitchen was done by Western Cabinets and I recommend them, they did a great job Recently moved to a 60's home in need of some improvement! http://s797.photobucket.com/user/leenii ... ch%20House Old house: http://s797.photobucket.com/albums/yy25 ... loo/House/ Re: HELP Desperately Needed on Layout 5Aug 06, 2010 12:22 am hi, why not put your microwave in your pantry? I would put the ovens on top of each other too, looks better, but have a pot drawer under the bottom one. Def get pot drawers everywhere you can. hope that helps a bit! A thankful person is a happy person. [/color]My hobby design blog: http://aviewondesign.blogspot.com/ You never have a fridge against wall as you’ve drawn. The doors can’t open past 90 degrees and it’s difficult and maybe impossible to remove drawers 2 15586 Thanks for the suggestion. The space between shower and sinks was too tight. I agree about the toilet location. So I have tried two other options: The lower one is… 3 6128 Possibly both depending on the sizing. Idea of working from the centre is that you dont have a 20mm thin tile at one end and a 400mm at the other end. A quick search on… 3 8401 |
