Browse Forums Kitchen Corner Re: Does anyone have a super quiet dishwasher? 23Jul 28, 2010 8:45 pm Definately the Bosch My parents have a basic bosch dishwasher (smu50e) and it is pretty quiet. l am in the process of building my house and we have already purchased the bosch smu68 with the cutlery tray which is meant to be even quieter. Cant wait to use it when we move in. Handover date 3rd August 2010 WOOHOO!!! Re: Does anyone have a super quiet dishwasher? 24Jul 28, 2010 8:57 pm I have the Bosch dishwasher aswell, i love it too. Although the wash cycle is quite long, it's very quiet. We had an LG in the old house, very efficient, but not as quiet as this Bosch. I also the the fact the cutlery basket can slide along making more efficient stacking space. Re: Does anyone have a super quiet dishwasher? 25Jul 28, 2010 9:55 pm Bosch too - like PP only hear it when the water is draining. Not even a swoosh swoosh sound when it is running!!! The rental we lived in had a Dishlex and it was soooooooo noisy it drove us nutty.... Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Does anyone have a super quiet dishwasher? 26Jul 28, 2010 10:01 pm I've got a very quiet Bosch as well. Mine is the SMS63M08AU/12. Didn't like the one with the cutlery drawer because my boys would never empty it piece by piece! Judie Re: Does anyone have a super quiet dishwasher? 27Jul 28, 2010 10:33 pm another vote for bosch here, we have the SMU65M15AU with the cutlery drawer. very quiet, our living area is open and not that big, and we can have it on in the evening while we are watching tv no problems. ours is a 'built under' model w a stainless steel front. I liked the inside of the bosch over miele. Asko is the other recomended brand and they have some cool basket options for knives and other bits and pices that looked good. I previously had an Asko, dont know if I got a lemon, but it was very noisey, and was repaired 4times in 10 years. Re: Does anyone have a super quiet dishwasher? 30Jul 29, 2010 9:34 am another on the Miele wagon, it's very quiet I also have to double check that it's actually on sometimes. have also lived with a very quiet and very good dishwashing Asko. After reading all these posts, I really want a Bosch or a Miele now - they sound so much better Re: Does anyone have a super quiet dishwasher? 38Jul 29, 2010 5:44 pm We have a Bosch that was in the house when we moved in and been here 20 years so not sure it's actual age. it runs every 2nd day and never been touched by a serviceman. Amazing ! Will certainly be starting with the Bosch for the new build. After having, SMEG, DISHLEX, WESTINGHOUSE, FISHER&PAYKEL DOUBLE DRAWER (WORST EVER!!), I'm here to say that BOSCH is by far the best. Actually quiet, unlike the rest. I'm married to a builder so I get the opportunity to try lots of different appliances out - hence the above. I am installing a new Bosch SMU4HTS01A built under dushwasher. I have 2 questions.
