Browse Forums Kitchen Corner Re: Installing a wall oven, advice needed 2Jul 20, 2010 2:14 pm crackatinny We are currently renovating our kitchen and have been given a gas wall oven. What I would like to know is how these are normaly mounted, I currently have a large recess in the wall from a wood cooker that was there many years ago, it has since housed a freestanding gas stove, I am cosidering boxing in this area to make a malimine cabinate for the oven to slide into, my concern is, do these wall ovens conduct enough heat on their exterior walls to become a fire hazzard if mounted in a wooden cabinate? Short answer is no. But strong virtue will always be found, In reading the manufacturers installation instructions.
