Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jul 13, 2010 7:33 pm Hi Everyone, I have been reading this forum for several weeks now and the information provided has been invaluable and the achievements have been inspiring. I am hoping you all maybe able to provide some help with a question or two..... We have just signed the contracts for our Kitchen renovation and I had decided to go with Antique White laminate doors and the Bondi CS benchtop. I was searching for ideas for a splashback on this site last night and noticed a discussion regarding the Bondi CS which confirmed some lurking doubts I was having. Would it be too yellow?? After hours of discussion with my other half we are now thinking of a Latte or Cashmere benchtop. He firmly wants the Cashmere and I'm still undecided. I don't want anything too dark. We were out at the Clarendon display village at Parklea today and they had a kitchen in the Kentville 28 home that we think, had a Cashmere benchtop. Does anyone know what the colour scheme in this home is or alternatively, if I contact Clarendon, are they likely to let me know? I look forward to receiving your feedback as the whole kitchen thing is driving me ''krazy" Cheers KK Re: Kitchen Renovation. 2Jul 15, 2010 9:38 am I posted a pic of my kitchen with cashmere cs the other day. Here's the link: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=30443 Here’s another thread I started when I was trying to choose between Latte and Cashmere as well: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=28948 Also I know cazoraz chose Latte cs so perhaps do a search in the building forum for her thread and then search her thread for pics of her kitchen. I was also worried that cashmere would be too dark, but in all honesty it is not a dark colour at all – the perfect amount of depth for our house!! But you are also using Antique White cabinets so perhaps Latte (which I found to have a touch more “yellowiness”) may have better tones to use with that colour. Maybe ask Michelle in her forum. She is great with advice!! Also apparently you can go to cesarstone showrooms and see the stone in huge slabs. So this may be an option for you as well. Re: Kitchen Renovation. 3Jul 15, 2010 10:04 pm Hi n&n02. Thanks for your reply, we were actually looking at your kitchen the other night - it was one of the pictures that had us thinking about our colour choices. I can't wait to see the finished product! We spent yesterday travelling around Sydney looking at as many options as we could, including a trip into the CS showroom in Alexandria. We also went back to the Clarendon display home that had the kitchen we both loved. Consequently we ended up going with the Walnut for the benchtop. Our original plan for the kitchen (when we started talking about a renovation waaaay back when) was for white doors and black granite/CS benchtops so we have almost returned to where we started, but a bit softer. Our home is done with natural/earthy tones, so hopefully the Walnut will complement the rest of the house Thanks again for your response, the help is greatly appreciated. KK Re: Kitchen Renovation. 4Aug 01, 2010 1:50 pm Hi KitchenKrazy, only just come across this thread. We chose CS Walnut for our kitchen and have matched it up with laminex moleskin on the cupboards. We've also chosen an off-white wall tile and will be having Solver Smoke Pearl on our walls. Our benchtops were installed just this week and we're waiting for them to take the plastic coating off it to see how well it all goes together. So far its looking great. I would love to see some photos when the plastic comes off. We are still several weeks away from our cupboards being installed and I really getting very impaitent. The old kitchen comes out this week so the fun starts now.
