Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jun 30, 2010 11:13 am We are about to embark on our first kitchen reno and this site has been invaluable. There is a wealth of information here. I was hoping that some experienced people might look over my design. We've knocked a wall out and moved another to give us more space as the kitchen is one of the most important aspects of the house we want. This is what we started with. http://poidda.fotopic.net/p65424400.html What we're living in now http://poidda.fotopic.net/p65424186.html And our plans http://poidda.fotopic.net/p65653397.html http://poidda.fotopic.net/p65653398.html http://poidda.fotopic.net/p65653399.html http://poidda.fotopic.net/p65653400.html Any cabinet market with a 'D' is 3 drawers. One small at the top and 2 large pot drawers. Just keep in mind this is our first go at a kitchen design, and this software. If there's anyway we can improve this, all tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. (dont know what they are called!) looks good...I want that fridge! Re: My first kitchen reno / design 3Jun 30, 2010 3:11 pm I'd be trying to find a better way of dealing with those two blind corners - they are honestly a complete pain to live with; corner drawers are good or maybe doors/drawers on the other side of the counters instead? I would also highly recommend a dedicated microwave cabinet, either on the wall or underbench...nothing worse than creating lots of lovely bench space and then permanently kidnapping it with a microwave - pet hate of mine. Yeah there's some great "features" straight out of the 80's. I'm undecided if we'll keep the peach. As for the rangehood, we're not sure as it's a very open room. We might add one at a later date if need be. Cheers, Earl Thanks Earl. I should have said the cabinet BM60 is a microwave under the bench. http://poidda.fotopic.net/p65653397.html As for the blind corners, the two cupboards B60 are actually hidden cupboards out to the lounge. I also hate corners. Hence the odd shaped wall we have put it near the pantries. We'd rather use that space as a broom cupboard from the study. Cheers, Peter Re: My first kitchen reno / design 6Jun 30, 2010 6:35 pm Ahh well, there you go then - I think you have made some good choices for he space you have to work with. Maybe think about some Inner Drawers inside the pantry if your budget allows - they are a real winner. Cheers, Earl Our Bondi Greenwall was impressive from day one with advanced lush plants to provide a wow factor to this recently renovated living area.
