Hi All
Im new to this but hear it goes
Ive currently just designed a new kitchen to go into our exsting home , which is only 10 years old
The kitchen is very streamlined, all drawers, no handles with the recessed aluminium rails to match the stainless kicker boards. All the lines will match up, and wilI only have one row of overheads (with a undermount range to not break the look) above the 900 wide cooktop, the overheads being lift up design in the drawer look as opposed to cupbroads. Te design is very comtemporary and sleek but I dont want it to look cold.
I have chosen Classic White Vinyl for all cabinety with the stainless kickers and the aluminium recessed rails
I have chosen , after much headache CEASERSTONE LATTE for the benchtops and the 2.3 metre island with waterfall edges. I almost chose a speckled white but felt I needed a colour in the stone. I will be having an undermount double bowl Franke SteelQueen in the island, with a Technoboli ozT7 Pull out sink mixer
I envisionaged going darker on the glass splasback in a warm chocoate colour, and am highly considering SEA ELEPHANT ON THE STARPHIRE GLASS . I will use the same colour on the back of the island as a contrast
My floors are timber blackbutt (nice lighter warm honey colour) and meals table is a dark wood table/chairs with latte colour padded seats. Family is a large modular warwick fabric called Licorice, which is a mixture of chocolate.charcoal and beige stripes.
My kitchen/meals/family area is all one big open room so I have included these details
Just wondering if you experts can tell me your thoguhts on Sea Elephant for glass or any other advise?
So Basically I am looking at lightest color for all cabinets, middle colour for benchtops and the splashbak in the darkest colour? I did think I could use the splashback in the latte colour and stone in the darker chocolate but thought this could look TOO HEAVY ...
any thoughts appreciated
