I really love the idea but never seen the house actually using the cook top (seen on the display home but obviously they didn't use it) I know what pros and cons are and safety issue with kids doesnt bother me as I dont have one and not planningto have one in this house and no friends with kids yet my main concern would be how people handle with oil and etc splash all over the bench given no splash back.. any REAL issues? please share your experience.... thanks! Re: Does anyone have Island cooktop? any problems? 2Jun 14, 2010 12:12 pm We plan to do the messy cooking outside on the bbq. Our bench is 1.5m deep, so I'm not worried about splashing oil or anything on kids/guests sitting at the other side of the bench. We currently have our cooktop against the wall in our rental, and dont need to clean the wall behind it that often as it doesn't need it. I'm a messy cooker...i believe...also both of us (my parnter and I) being Asian...we eat Chinese stir fries every single meal..haha bet that doesn't help hehe hoping it'd be all good though........... once you all move in, let me know how you go with your cook top hey? thanks for sharing Re: Does anyone have Island cooktop? any problems? 4Jun 14, 2010 12:23 pm No worries, I'll give you the full report in about 3 weeks time We enjoy cooking stir fries to... but use a lot of water in our cooking rather than oil, so that probably helps with keeping the mess to a minimum i had the my concreters concrete right up to the fence. I have pits all along my path, so the water tends to drain away from the house and into the pits. There's only one… 7 9689 I had an old shower unit that broke on me and when I took it off, there were only 2 water pipes, instead of the normal 2 water pipes and a shower head pipe.
