Does anyone know if there are residential 3-phase isolation switches available that are suitable (meaning 'not ugly', indoor rather than outdoor, residential rather than industrial) for use as a cooktop isolation switch in a kitchen?
The reason for this question is that we've chosen to go with an induction cooktop for our new home that when connected single phase has a max current draw of 42A! However, we also have an A/C that (according to the specs) can draw more than 20A per phase at startup. So, I'm concerned that we may exceed what I understand to be the 63A per phase current maximum (in certain limited situations: stove being fully utilised + turn on A/C) on one of the phases.
According to the manual, the cooktop can be hooked up to 3-phase, which I believe would help resolve any potential problem, but I've not been able to find any suitable cooktop isolation switch that is 3 pole (or 4 pole if the neutral needs to be isolated too) - having a massive industrial looking IP66 outdoor isolation switch isn't going to look all that good on the splashback!!
Clipsal do a Classic series 45A switch product, but it is double pole only.
Can anyone either tell me I'm worrying over nothing, or suggest a suitable product please? Thanks!
