Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jun 10, 2010 10:56 pm Hi , I am wondering if i could possibly get some feedback or opinions. ( I am hopeless with designing/ colours etc ) I really can not decide on my Kitchen Cupboard Colour. I am tossing up between Dulux Pebble Grey and Dulux White ( i am having 2 pack cupboards ) I really do like the "white" Kitchens however have only seen pictures and display's where they have used wood flooring. We have a Grey tile through out the house , and am not sure if i choose the Pebble Grey if it would than be too much ??? My Benchtop is Ceaserstone Ice Snow. Any help would be very appreciated. Re: Kitchen Colour HELP !! 2Jun 13, 2010 5:38 pm im not sure what the pebble grey looks like but i like the white cupboards with the ice snow benchtop, with the grey tiles. We decided to go 'white shimmer' benchtop with the white cupboards because we r having floorboards and i personally thought the ice snow benchtop looked a little greyish so didn't suit my colour scheme..however with the grey tiled floors i think it would look good...im not good at deciding this stuff either but thats my opinion. I have white poly cupboards but we have a light coloured floor tile. www.themaxbuild.blogspot.com forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20717&start=300 www.leahspaperpassion.blogspot.com Re: Kitchen Colour HELP !! 4Jun 13, 2010 11:59 pm I've got grey tiles, and when polar white cupboards and white shimmer cs too! But I have seen a gorgeous grey kitchen in a magazine, can't remember if they had wood floors, but it looked wonderful and so practical. It was quite a dark grey. I was keen, but hubby said no way! http://i797.photobucket.com/albums/yy251/leeniiloo/House/20100528_003.jpg Recently moved to a 60's home in need of some improvement! http://s797.photobucket.com/user/leenii ... ch%20House Old house: http://s797.photobucket.com/albums/yy25 ... loo/House/ Re: Kitchen Colour HELP !! 6Jun 14, 2010 9:53 am I love pebble grey and I think it would look really smart. It won't look like too much grey as long as you have a contrast. Is your floortile dark grey? You relly need to check the pebble grey against the floor tile to make sure that they have the same tone (cool/warm/neutral). Of course, you can't go too far wrong with a white kitchen. Wood floors stop it from looking too cold, but if you have a warm grey tile colour it should be fine. Re: Kitchen Colour HELP !! 7Jun 15, 2010 6:02 pm Thanks you very much for your replies. I have decided to go for the White. Xquisite - The grey tile we have is a warm grey not very dark at all. Leni - Thanks very much for posting the picture you Kitchen looks FAB ! The doors can’t open past 90 degrees and it’s difficult and maybe impossible to remove drawers 2 15609 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7170 |
