Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jun 06, 2010 7:32 pm Hi All We met the builder today. An issue was put forward by the builder that The Ponds is not accepting standard bricks for Price leader series anymore and that we have to upgrade to the next level and pay extra ourselves. They have advised that this has happended recently as previously The Ponds Board has approved standard bricks, part of "Price Leader" series. Is some one else also facing this issue? I do not intend to pay the extra as Ponds board had approved standard Price Leader bricks before and now due to some new bloke stepping in as an approver is playing this anarchial game. My builder is Allworths. Please let me know if someone is going through the same pain. Our street has just about every colour from red, grey, brown and blonde. If in doubt contact the design review people and ask them if there are any restrictions on brick colour. Sound to me the builder is just trying to get you to buy the upgrade. It could also be a supply /quality issue as a few people who have started in our street have had a very high rate of damaged bricks and the builder has had to order extra.
