I am looking for a flatpack kitchen , just thought id see if I can buy direct from the source instead of a middle man. Anybody know? What is the website? Cheers Noremac Re: flatpacks ...where are they really made? 2May 26, 2010 8:23 pm lots of flat packed kitchen stuff is done in china .. computer cut would be something like a cnc machine at a guess? Re: flatpacks ...where are they really made? 3May 27, 2010 6:03 am Nearly everyone who makes cabinets uses a computer controlled (cnc) system to cut and drill their boards these days. There are quite a few people around who supply high quality (locally) made to order unassembled cabinets. This means you can get a "flat pack" custom made to fit your space in the colours and style you want as well. Cheers Noremac To answer your first question, no not all flat packs are made in the same factory, as others have mentioned the technology to do it now days is cheap enough for companies to buy. Having said that though if you go to the likes of Bunnings etc they probably do all come from the same Chineese factory! As to where to buy a flat pack kitchen do a google search for "flatpack kitchen mitchell act". I did that some time ago and found a company in Canberra (in the suburb of Mitchell) that has two websites, one is their normal kitchen business as well a a similar looking site that does their flat-pack business. They supply nationally. All their flat packs are made to measure which is great and I beleive everything is made on site. Everything is website driven, so you basicly make up your order by selecting the cabinets you want, you enter the external cabinet the measurements you desire, select door/drawer style and colours and and the company does the rest. If you live in the region you can pick-up yourself thus saving the freight costs again confirming to me that they are indeed made on-site in Mitchell. They also do melimine wardrobes too, which is what I have brought off them. When I get the money to re-do my kitchen I will use them again. do not pay until you are satisfied with workmanship windows require flashing over the head archithrave and up under weatherboards 3 28260 i imagine you also have another contract with an architect? and yeah, whatever other's said about special conditions and appendices 16 15980 Brass or 2) Stainless steel made - which Kitchen tap is good for drinking.Brass kitchen taps in Australia contain lead… 0 6714 |
