We have ceasarstone ivory benchtops with the undermounted Franke CN660 1 and 1/3 bowl. the Tap is to be Hansgrohe Axor Citterio single lever mixer. The combination sink allows me to wash the large oven pans that cannot go in the dishwasher. The website that I found was one of the biggest help was www.priceme.net.au for prices of sinks, fridges, taps etc Re: Nice sink to suit stone tops 7May 24, 2010 12:17 pm nemisis I'm scared of undermounts only because the "chip" factor. Does that happen much with caesarstone in that sort of situation? I imagine you'd have to really bang it hard with something very heavy? Anybody chipped their caesarstone? Re: Nice sink to suit stone tops 9May 24, 2010 9:25 pm I have seen chips in a two week old bench ... at a local McDonalds store. I was so mortified for them I told the manager!!! Re: Nice sink to suit stone tops 11May 24, 2010 9:40 pm Remember it is not only the chipping to the stone surface but you can chip / smash crockery glass ware if you are not careful when placing them in the sink. If you get a little carried away you can shatter them against the lip of the stone going into the sink. I have only done it once - and thank goodness didn't actually shatter the glass but it scared the bippies out of me. My sink is a huge 1.25m long - undermounted three bowl sink from the US. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Nice sink to suit stone tops 13May 29, 2010 4:46 pm To add a touch of class a butler sink is great to use. We have had one in our last 3 kitchens and I would not be without one- both for looks and also for the practicality of being able to wash just about any size pots/woks in them. They have a nice solid feel that goes well with the stone as well.
