Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Oct 13, 2007 1:37 pm Hi guys,
would anyone know what the price difference is between bench tops in stone as apposed to Corian? I am assuming Corian is more expensive. But is it HEAPS more expensive? And what are the pro's and con's? We are building and we want to put in either stone or corian on the kitchen bench tops and bathroom tops. And while I have your attention is Timber Vineer cheaper than 2Pac? Or is it the other way around? Any replys would be really helpful. Re: CeasarStone & Corian - Price Difference 2Oct 13, 2007 5:24 pm Not sure about the benchtops, but as far as I know, 2pack is the most expensive of the cupboard choices - even dearer than something like tassie oak solid timber - or according to the builders selection anyway.

Decide based on the type of cooking your family requires and of course $$$ vinyl high gloss- avoid if you are into lot of deep frying, asian/indian cooking but go for it if u want to sell quickly laminate- hardy, darker colours may not mark much. great for those who cook a lot 2 pack- consider for that rare colour which laminate doesnt offer...and of course if u have lots to spend. Also hard weariong for those who cook a lot. Corian-- too 'plasticky' but has some great colours, any chips or scratches can be fixed,. can come with integrated sink. Not for me.. I like granite.
