Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 20, 2010 12:01 pm Does anyone know if it is possible to get white polished porcelain glossy rectified tiles? Preferably in 300x600 or 600x600. I can find other colours and most of them also have patterns through them, but I am really after plain white to use as a splashback! I need to get it done soon so if anybody can give me any information, even if it's just to say there is no such product, I would really, really appreciate it!! Thanks!! Re: WHITE polished porcelain tiles for splashback?? 2May 20, 2010 12:04 pm hi katie81, we have white porcelain rectified 300x600 tiles in our bathroom, so you can definitely get them. we got ours from beaumont tiles, sorry i don't know the product code or anything and this was over 18 months ago, but i'm sure they would be fairly in demand, so most likely still available? Re: WHITE polished porcelain tiles for splashback?? 5May 20, 2010 12:40 pm oh no! have you tried some of the other big shops in perth? i am surprised they are so hard to come by...? I do have some pics but the forum is saying it cannot determine the size of the images or some such rubbish... which is weird since i have posted them all before. (but the thread is gone) will try again after lunch. "Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts, and you are the slave to your emotions." — Elizabeth Gilbert Living in our new house. Went all over Osborne Park where most tile shops are and nothing (as well as local tile shops). I did end up buying glossy white 300x600 rectified tiles, but they're not laid yet, so I am having one last ditch attempt at finding the tiles I REALLY wanted before I get them laid and it's too late!! Think I've also been into European Ceramics, are they in Ossie Park? Didn't find any in there, either. They all seem to be ivory with a marbled pattern through them! What ever happened to simplicity. Never thought it would have been this hard to find them in a solid white colour!! Re: WHITE polished porcelain tiles for splashback?? 10May 20, 2010 2:04 pm okay trying again... hope they work this time.... oh good looks like they are. they are not very close up, sorry, but the grout lines are nice and thin and even because of the rectified edge. they look heaps better than the ones we have which aren't rectified. Re: WHITE polished porcelain tiles for splashback?? 11May 20, 2010 2:11 pm Well I don't know EXACTLY the difference because I haven't seen the ones I want But all the polished porcelain I've seen are way shinier, almost glass looking. I was trying to create the feel of a glass splashback on a budget. Looks like I will just get the glossy ones laid, with minimal grout line as possible. Won't be as shiny, but will have to do! It's better than my bare wall with tile glue leftover from the last tile job! Sick of looking at it!! Thanks so much for those photos! Your bathroom looks lovely! Re: WHITE polished porcelain tiles for splashback?? 12May 20, 2010 2:32 pm oh okay, yes fair enough, thats true they prob would be shinier. thanks, i love my bathroom too "Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts, and you are the slave to your emotions." — Elizabeth Gilbert Living in our new house.
