Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 18, 2010 9:56 am So we are at the point where we are going to our selections meeting tomorrow and from doing some looking around, have decided on the colour of the benchtops/cupboards/floorboards but can not decide on the glass splashback. We are building the Pinnacle 190 with AVJennings, and some pictures of the kitchen can be found here... http://www.avjennings.com.au/SA/HomesToBuild/Properties/Pinnacle_190.aspx?OrderBy=Price%20ASC&ReturnUrl=%2fSA%2fHomesToBuild%2fSingleStorey.aspx Cupboards/Island = Polar White Gloss Benches = Raven 4120 (Deep Gray) http://www.caesarstone.com.au/Product.aspx?productId=1621 Floors = Not sure on the exact colour yet, but will be a dark brown floating floor of some kind. Will be doing it after handover. So all that we really need to pick as far as kitchen colours go, is the glass splashback. We do like the fact that the benches will be the 'hero' so to speak of the kitchen so probably something that complements them, but doesn't overpower them. Very lost as to what to pick! This is assuming that you are having overhead cupboards and would allow the benchtops to stand out in the space. If you go for a coloured splash back it will draw the eye away from benchtops IMO. Best of luck and remember to post your colours! Don't mind paying a little extra since this will be our home for a long while. I'll check out starfire glass.. whats the difference? With the normal glass splashbacks there is a slight green tinge-which is fine if thats what you like. We wanted the pure white splashback, so paid the extra. Went for Raven 4120 Caesar bench, polar white cupboards and white splashback. We wanted glossy cupboards etc but was told it was approx $4k extra which was out of our budget by a fair margin.
