Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 07, 2010 2:51 pm Hi there, I'm having trouble deciding on our splashback colour. Currently it will be dulux royal beige half with a sparkle...Our cupboards and drawers are polar white glossy, benchtop starwhite smartstone mirror flecks, Walls will be dulux royal beige half and front of the benchtop is glossy burnished wood Would really appreciate some advice as I think it will look boring with current splashback and may clash with polar white...I like an elegant and classy look which is timeless. Should I go with a metallic instead as that is another option???? Thanks Boo I have attatched a photo hopefully it works Re: Please help with my splashback I'm soooooo over it 2May 07, 2010 2:54 pm Boo-no photo! Have you uploaded it to somewhere like photobucket.com and pasted the img code in? I've chosen Dulux's Vivid White on the Starfire glass to maintain the continuity of colour in the kitchen-but will be adding "splashes" of colour with accessories! BTW-love your kitchen! Have you seen the white on clear glass, where you get a slightly green tinge. I just love it with whites and browns and will give that area some brightness...if you don't want a colour maybe white on starfire glass Re: Please help with my splashback I'm soooooo over it 9May 07, 2010 3:14 pm Deemaree- thanks for the compliment yes maybe I need to just keep it all white as well..We are having starphire glass too...I think i have so over thought it... that now I'm just lost on the direction What colour are your walls btw?? Boo Re: Please help with my splashback I'm soooooo over it 10May 07, 2010 3:15 pm Our walls will be Wattyl Pearl Shell- a white with a touch of warmth Deemaree Kyndylan Capers: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=46852 My blog: http://www.sufficientlysufficient.blogspot.com/ Re: Please help with my splashback I'm soooooo over it 11May 07, 2010 3:22 pm Suh yes i really like the glass with the green tinge but we are having starphire. What white do I choose as there are so many out there?....Do you think the metallic would just spoil the look??? I wanted a mirror but that wasn't an option for us. thanks for your opinions Boo Re: Please help with my splashback I'm soooooo over it 13May 07, 2010 3:57 pm NEVER Built the Eden Brae Cambridge 34 Family with Boston Corner Facade Re: Please help with my splashback I'm soooooo over it 16May 07, 2010 8:33 pm boo, what's your floor in your kitchen going to be? ( its called globe clay) polished. I don't have a picture of it or even a sample of it...I was really hoping to go more the grey colour scheme but it appears that with the wall colour I have gone more beige I think...I will try to attatch a photo it is small of a display home 'Samuel James' which has the same tile...it is the top photo Boo http://i985.photobucket.com/albums/ae331/sophaust/centauri_pics1.jpg Re: Please help with my splashback I'm soooooo over it 18May 07, 2010 10:54 pm ooh did I see pizza shapes suh? darnit, i have a craving now! Re: Please help with my splashback I'm soooooo over it 19May 07, 2010 11:21 pm Boo, I like the look of the darker wall colour behind the gyprock join. It looks nice and neutral and would tie in the brown. I would also go with a sparkle. Is that the undercoat?
