Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 05, 2010 9:44 pm Ok long story short. I absolutely hate the two feature tiles in my kitchen. I know that the house is 9 years old but what were they thinking Grrrrrrr. So i changed them today and it only cost me $2.65 I purchased 2 of those stick on floor tile things from Bunnings in a Dark Charcoal Grey which was the only colour that would remotely suit the existing bench tops etc and stuck them over the feature tiles and wulla ugly tiles gone. I don't mind the rest of the tiles, they are Ok but i am looking at getting a Glass Splash Back one day when i save up for it so i just wanted something to hide the ugly tiles. What do you think of my very quick job oh and i used a little glue behind it just to make sure that they do not come off, i think it was liquid nails or something like that. We had almost the exact same problem at our previous place. Bought some tile paint (can't remember the brand), painted over then painted over with a color that matched the tiles. It gives a pretty good result and the tile paint is very easy to use. hmmm id assume youll get hit with the "natural product therefore variation in colour etc" excuse. How bad are we talking?
