Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 04, 2010 6:30 pm Hello Can anyone lend some advice/opinions regarding my query... I have a fairly large kitchen and would like to have white gloss cupboards with a dark benchtop (smething like indigo granite or jet terrazzo). We also have a breakfast bar which will have laminate on the back of it (it will face you directly as you walk into our main living room). What I wanted to do was to have something like burnished wood or limed ash for the back of the breakfast bar AND for our WO stack, white gloss cupboards (overhead and underbench) and then a dark benchtop with black tiles as a splashback. I am just wondering if it would be too many different finishes (gloss, woodgrain and stone). Should I just stick with the gloss cupboards and use the woodgrain finish for both my breakfast bar and benchtop. I am not keen on gloss for the benchtop due to the scratch and streak factor and would really like to have something a little bit interesting on the back of the breakfast bar as it is what you see first when you come in the door. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Happy, Healthy Free Range Wessex Saddleback Pigs My doom and gloom paperwork nightmare viewtopic.php?f=31&t=32170 Construction viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43653 Re: Confused about different laminate finishes in the kitche 3May 04, 2010 8:04 pm Check out the "Show me your kitchen thread" Deemaree Kyndylan Capers: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=46852 My blog: http://www.sufficientlysufficient.blogspot.com/ If this is a custom build then I would expect the builder to set out the door frame closer to the wall to avoid the gap between architrave and the wall and or specify… 9 8287 yep you need a joint, foam is easiest, will look fine once rendered with a joint. 2 5228 Hi, have purchased a house with 2 single garage doors. The Centre pillar one side sits proud to the other. Can I change 2 doors into one. Please see picture. 0 6200 |
