If you want a feature then go for a strong colour (I immediately thought of a blue actually) Deemaree Kyndylan Capers: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=46852 My blog: http://www.sufficientlysufficient.blogspot.com/ Re: Suggestions for splashback... 4May 04, 2010 11:33 pm I think I'd go a red if you want a bold colour. Having said that, I think the metallic silver would look stunning in that space. Your colours are made for it. You can always dress it up with brightly colours appliances/accessories. A splashback is a bit too permanent/expensive to replace if you decide that the chosen bold colour is no longer for you. Re: Suggestions for splashback... 5May 05, 2010 8:23 am I have also put this in my building thread in case people are reading both! I would love a mirror splashback but cleaning is an issue for DP... My first thought was for a darker grey/charcoal but I think the more I look at it, the more I think a lighter colour would look better. Our builder is getting us some samples this week, im going to try and slip in some questions about mirror splashes and see how I get on Re: Suggestions for splashback... 6May 05, 2010 10:15 am Have had another look and I think the metallic silver would be great-it would also "reflect" colours from accessories. Its the same as the lower cabinets, but the light makes it look lighter. We just had a call from the builder and it looks like we have to chose by tomorrow morning. I think the Dulux colour is pluto pulse... No matter how long you have to make these decisions, it always takes forever doesnt it?! Re: Suggestions for splashback... 11May 05, 2010 8:00 pm I like silver but i would go for a very light silver for your kitchen. I cant find my sample of dulux pluto. Is it light because it will look a fair bit darker behind the glass and over the larger space. Re: Suggestions for splashback... 12May 06, 2010 8:56 am Melrich, it sounds stunning and would look magic in my kitchen, it would have been perfect to give it that bit more oompf but not going with full on colour... If only we had a bit more time to find some tiles! It really would have given us the feature we were looking for. Well I lost the battle on the mirror - and in the end we have gone with metallic silver. Mango, we went for Dulux Pluto Pulse on Starfire. I have only seen it in the forum here so im hoping it will look nice and sparkly. Our island bench was finished off yesterday and it makes the back of the island bench look darker again. I couldnt get a photo this morning but when I can I will post it to show you. Hi, Looking to add an ensuite to one of the bedrooms and make it a Master BR. Please see the attached current floorplan.
