Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Apr 30, 2010 9:46 pm Our Delonghi 900 upright cooker was installed this week, and I was suprised to realise I got a lot more than I paid for. I will explain I orginally looked at the lastest delonghi upright which was $3500 which I was going to buy after leaving the details with the sales assistant he contacted me a week later saying CliveP was having a warehouse sale and I could get last years model in a package with a rangehood for $2800 I prefered the lastest model but with a big saving I compromised and got the $2800 package. Today I had a look at the cooker that was installed and it was the lastest model($3500) I went home and checked the paperwork and the realised the salesman must have put in the wrong codes in the rush of the warehouse sale, so CliveP had deliveried what was ordered. He had put down the codes for the new package and charged me for the package that was on clearance. I could not work out why I also got the stainless steel splash back but I put that down to coming with the package not realising it was the new package not the one on clearance. What can I say sometimes you just get lucky Cheers Lou http://take2-customdesigndownslope.blogspot.com 07-10-09 omg they have cut the block 14-05-10 we finally have the keys Re: Sometimes you have a win! 3Apr 30, 2010 11:13 pm Deemaree Kyndylan Capers: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=46852 My blog: http://www.sufficientlysufficient.blogspot.com/ Re: Sometimes you have a win! 4May 01, 2010 7:43 am Nice one, Lou. We had a similar thing happen when we renovated some time ago. I was shopping for an appliance package (cooktop, double wall oven, rangehood, sink, tap, microwave) and the salesguy at CliveP crunched all the numbers on my chosen items and made me an offer too good to refuse. When everything was delivered three months later ....uh-oh! We'd been given a single oven. I checked the order form and realised that there was only one digit difference between the single and double model numbers and the guy had entered the wrong one into the computer when quoting. No wonder it was so cheap! The cabinets had been made for the double, I wanted a double and there was no way I was accepting a single, so back I went. Of course the guy couldn't recall anything from three months ago, but they took my word for it and replaced the oven with the correct one. Their mistake, my gain, but more importantly, what a good customer service experience. Hope you enjoy your lovely oven! This mistake was the same just a difference in one letter, but I have to agree CliveP service has been fantastic, due to a heap of delays I have had to put off the delivery of the appliance for months I ordered them in July for a december delivery but finally had them deliveried in April. We got an upgrade on our blanco pyro oven to the top model as they didnt have the other one instock. i was thrilled with that and it was only a few hundred difference. Lucky for you. Thanks mate. Yeah good points! Leaning towards Option 3 to get a bit extra space in the cabinets but not going too crazy high (and expensive).
