Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Apr 07, 2010 8:49 am Due to budget and not being allowed the Matrix glass tiles I want, I'm considering getting a sheet of coloured glass the width of 900mm cooktop (to the bottom of the rangehood) and then the rest of the niche standard white gloss tiles. Ideally yes I'd like the whole thing in glass, but looking at 1700mm W x 700mm H, with 2 returns 600mm D x 700mm H. Also would stark white tiles look funny with laminex Natural Quartz benchtop (with Mulga cupboards), all my doors and trimmings inside will be painted bright designer white and thinking walls in Smoke Pearl. Can't find the exact price in my notes, but I don't think it was much cheaper than painted glass. Limited colour range too. i will check prices today and get back to you Re: Splashback - would it look silly if...... 8Apr 17, 2010 7:40 pm The Matrix tiles are my fave but yes expensive. I think the other option you are thinking will be fine and much easier to clean if any food splashes on the splashback it can easily by wiped clean. No the fireplace doesn’t work. It’s been enclosed. I’m not sure what was removed, as it was done quite some time ago - well before what I can see with photos online… 2 11584 Interested in getting either the Polytec Boston Oak or Palace Peak for kitchen cabinets.
