Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Mar 30, 2010 9:30 am hey guys, Am in need of a little advice; we need to pick a colour for the kitchen cabinets and were debating between Asian Sand or a gloss white. ( Alabaster Lustre) Our Splashback is a dark brownish colour and our benchtop is a light stone speckled top. We will have opaque glass overhead cabinents. I cannot attach visuals here for some reason - but if someone has a kitchen with Asian sand, please post it up as that would give me great insight on how it look as opposed to sample panel that is 5cm long. White cabinets 2Mar 30, 2010 9:48 am cream, That kitchen sounds exactly like what we are getting (except for the opaque glass cabinets). We were tossing up between an Alabaster white or pure white for our cupboards. We ended up going with the white not really for the look but more for the practicality in terms of being able to source the white in the future if anything gets damaged. Unfortunately we won't have photos for a long while. If any one else does I would love to see kitchens in this tone. View our blog at: http://room4acubby.blogspot.com/ Re: Asian Sand Vs. White cabinets 3Mar 30, 2010 1:36 pm We debated too between Asian Sand & white & we too are having a white Ice Snow stone benchtop. In the end we decided on white cupboards & kickboards - we are undecided about splashback (having builder put cheap white tile & we will redo with glass later) but figured we would add colour with accessories & although I panic now & again & think too much white...I think it will be great. Cant see how it would date & there will always be ways to add colour & I like the idea of being able to change colours when I get tired of them. Sorry no pics yet either.
