Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Mar 29, 2010 1:09 pm We are having a laminex benchtop in the laundry. I have picked Diamond Gloss Pure Mineralstone. I want the really square edges. I dont think its squareform as they look like rolled edges. Does anyone know what the technical term is? Re: Can you tell me the technical term re: laminex 2Mar 29, 2010 1:19 pm LOL...it's called 'square edge'.....and I'm having exactly the same thing!!! Are you also having the acrylic edging?..... http://www.laminex.com.au/pdfredirect.a ... ochure.pdf Re: Can you tell me the technical term re: laminex 3Mar 29, 2010 1:27 pm How appropriate That brochure didnt work - what is it called, I have the laminex website open. Re: Can you tell me the technical term re: laminex 5Mar 29, 2010 1:36 pm I havent seen the acrylic edging - I hope thats in the budget still - I do not want any more upgrade costs lol. Although he did say we could choose any product we wanted so I hope he meant it I have sent through a link to the brochure so lets hope I can get it! It actually looks quite good im happy with it! We are getting Quantum Quartz Starlight White benchtops to the rest of the house so I think the Pure Mineralstone will look good and tie in. our under bench cabinets are going to be lustrous elm in the laundry and bbq area and burnished wood in the bathrooms. I really hope everything ties in well! Its so nerve wracking watching it all come togehter. Re: Can you tell me the technical term re: laminex 6Mar 29, 2010 1:52 pm Make sure you added the link as an attachment to your email to them.....I tried to tell my supplier about it too as they hadn't heard of it ( I found it on this site!!) and had to attach the pdf link I had saved to 'my documents' for it to work. I'm doing a reno and am doing the kitchen bench in it..( cupboards are solid timber 'rosewood') ..and the bathrooms/laundry benches in DG White Valencia. Because the bench is angled so much they had to make a 3ply template for the bench....it will be ready in 2 weeks!! I don't think it's very costly to add...someone on here said about $30 extra a sq foot (?) ..anyways...whatever the cost it looks worth it to obscure that join. The mineral stone DG looks almost identicle to CS ( something ) They had both near each other in the show room and you could hardly tell the difference...the supplier even got it wrong when showing me!! Your selections sound really nice... I bet they'll look great....all the best! Re: Can you tell me the technical term re: laminex 7Mar 29, 2010 4:21 pm The builder is actually building his own house too at the moment, so I think they may be getting the same for their laundry as well! Well if it isnt too expensive, they will probably do it for us then, thats awesome Aw thank you re: selections - I cannot wait to see them come to light! I will be sure to add heaps of photos. I have found the photos on this site so useful, plus I also just love looking at everyone's selections. Last time we built we just copied the display home and I didnt even know just how many different laminates there were, how bad is that! Definitely a better experience this time around though! thank you! do we need to get this or our builder before we commence new build on the block? 2 10404 2 10974 Hey everyone Not for me or anyone I know, just generally interested.
