Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Sep 07, 2007 4:19 pm Do AEG ovens, gas cooktops, etc have a good reputation? They have a nice looking range. Re: AEG Appliances - Any good? 2Sep 08, 2007 9:34 am Haven't used their ovens etc - but I have an AEG dishwasher - best ever - washes pots, pans, baking dishes etc - I hardly ever wash by hand - and super water efficient - and super quiet.
Oh - and on the service side - fantastic! Ours came with a small ding in the door - within 48 hrs someone was at our place with a replacement door. Re: AEG Appliances - Any good? 3Sep 08, 2007 5:26 pm Sounds promising. Thanks for the feedback.
Their ovens, gas cooktops and rangehoods carry quite a price tag, so im hoping that translates into a high quality product. They're a division of Electrolux if I understand correctly. Re: AEG Appliances - Any good? 5Sep 10, 2007 1:42 pm Hi Mark, my mum used to work at AEG. When she worked there, they replaced all of her appliances with AEG ones. (Washing machine, dryer, dishwasher) They even stored her original appliances for her. It showed us that they wanted their staff to experience the AEG product so that when they dealt with their Customers, they spoke with both experience and knowledge on the products.
They have an exceptional name in the industry. The Pyrolytic range is supposed to be fantastic (self - cleaning ovens!!!!) If you lived in Melbourne, i would suggest wait for their factory scratch and dent sales, great savings to be had. We are buying new appliances for the new place and they are going to be AEG. But for your own piece of mind, visit different stockists and ask their opinion. Must say they are not cheap though...... Anyway, that's my 2 cents worth. Call head office in South Oakleigh, VIC if you are interested. Unfotunately, stockists do not discount the AEG appliances either, same story with Miele too.
Shame when you have expensive taste isn't it..... but i'm sure it will be worth it.... Re: AEG Appliances - Any good? 8Sep 10, 2007 3:12 pm That would be a good idea. However I highly doubt our project builder would allow us to supply our own appliances when they have to install them and cover them against theft before handover. Re: AEG Appliances - Any good? 9Sep 10, 2007 3:19 pm Isn't that a pain. Why can't they be more flexible..... Re: AEG Appliances - Any good? 10Dec 07, 2007 12:49 pm cookiemonster,
I'm just wondering - did you end up getting AEG appliances? Did you get a discount. Our builder has told us that they get a 10% discount on most appliances but not on AEG and Miele. Thanks... We're still waiting on a prices from our builder for the appliances. 9 6120 Thank you. Do I use timber floorboards for stairs or do people use timber treads? Or is both the same? 6 2490 2 10515 |
