Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Mar 16, 2010 10:30 pm Hi all I just brought the Saeco Royal digital Plus machine. I wanted to know what is the difference with the Royal range and the Magic range which is better Re: Saeco Royal or magic 2Mar 21, 2010 12:23 am We have had a Saeco Magic for about 7years now its been a great machine, there is no digital controls or displays all dials and buttons. The only thing different I would get next time is one with an automatic milk thing, which we have on a nespresso pod machine which we use whenever we use the nespresso but we never use the steam arm on the saeco machine. Cheers Lou http://take2-customdesigndownslope.blogspot.com 07-10-09 omg they have cut the block 14-05-10 we finally have the keys Re: Saeco Royal or magic 3Mar 21, 2010 11:05 am We don't have either (sorry) - ours is an Incanto Classic, which I don't think they make any more. The Royal Digital Plus looks like a really nice machine though.... A word of advice: make sure that you are diligent about performing whatever maintenance the manual recommends. These are expensive machines and you don't want to void your warranty. The Saeco service guys tell me that they're tightening up warranty conditions and refusing to cover machines that have obviously not been cleaned and maintained the way they're supposed to. Ours gets a weekly clean (takes about five minutes) and a de-scale whenever the machine prompts us, which is usually every couple of months or so. Depends how much you use it, of course. We've had to have it repaired twice (issues with the boiler ) and have never had a problem with the warranty.... |
