Does anyone have any tips for removing lino ( 1960s house) on top of our hardwood floors? (Sorry but i have no experience in removing lino from wooden floor) We did have some good progress tonight however. The hard wood flooring is now installed and ready for sanding and polishing. This is a little unrelated to kitchens, but it is the floor of the kitchen Pile of wood sitting on top of the ply which is already installed Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Kitchen before boards are installed Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Kitchen afterwards Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Wood detail closeup Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Floor main area Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The kitchen is due to start going in on next Tuesday so hopefully more pics to show soon Re: 1990's Kitchen re-model / re-face project 23Apr 23, 2010 8:46 am Yay how exciting ! looking forward to pics Candi ************* First time renovator VIC Re: 1990's Kitchen re-model / re-face project 24Apr 27, 2010 2:49 pm Hey tcross... We have now bought our tap (bargain again!) and have ordered whitegoods etc. This weekend was a busy but good weekend, installing the largest stone benchtop, choosing carpet for the upstairs and shortlisting paint colors. It took 8 men to lift the stone into place in the kitchen! They are coming back to cut the hole for the sink and tap tomorrow morning, so fingers crossed it all goes well. We had to remove half of the kitchen to ge the stone in as the stone installation required a lot of space as you can see from the pics. I also included a shot of our sample palette. We hope to be moved in within 3 weeks and I am now very excited that we are on the home stretch (touch wood.) If you ever need extra storage, put some extra units on top of the existing ones:) You could get some lights pointing towards the ceiling from the top of the units. This makes the room airy and extra spacious:) Great job all round:) If you need a kitchen drawn up, post it on this thread - gotta give me a couple of days though:) viewtopic.php?f=16&t=26892 Hi Chippy, no there isn't, gave it a really good look through and literally opened everything and checked all edges as well.
