Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Mar 02, 2010 1:41 pm Just wanting to know if Anyone has used Dulux Antique White USA or Dulux Whisper White on cupboards, the Antique white to me looks a bit pinky and the whisper white looks a bit brown on the tiny swatchs that i have. Please let me know what you think..........it will be going with Caesar stone Cashmere benchtops, and thinking the walls will be Hog Bristle 1/2 with a feature in toffee fingers and dont know for the Skirts yet. Thanx PS if you have a pic please post! Re: Anyone used Antique White USA or Whisper White on cupboa 2Mar 08, 2010 10:47 am I have Antique White on my draws ... in my house (walls are also Antique White) the draws look more creamy/yellowy than the walls ... but of course it will depend on what other colours you have in the house and the lights (most of mine are bright white lights ... vs warm white). Re: Anyone used Antique White USA or Whisper White on cupboa 3Mar 08, 2010 8:11 pm I agree with you about Antique White having a pinkish hue. It's a warmer colour than whisper white, which I think definitely has a slight grey-blue tinge. I consider whisper white a definite cool colour. I don't have cashmere caesar stone but if I was planning to I would look at it closely against the whites to determine whether it's warm or cool. People get this wrong quite often to my eye & it doesn't look right. I believe there is a kitchen cabinet colour called Antique White which is a lot more creamy/yellow looking than the Dulux paint colour Antique White USA... I can't say for sure, but there are some threads around which refer to Antique White cupboards which are definitely a LOT more creamy than the Antique White USA paint colour. A similar Dulux paint colour is 'off white', which is our wall colour currently. We have just had all our exterior windows painted in Dulux Antique White USA and that is nothing like our kitchen cupboards, definitely whiter! We are looking at replacing benchtops/splashbacks and repainting walls and currently trying to find colours that make the cupboards look less yellowy. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear.
