Browse Forums Kitchen Corner Re: Puratap - how much and who in Adelaide 3Aug 14, 2007 2:40 pm We got a quote for a Culligans water filtration system on the weekend. The retail price was $380 installed but as part of our package we were offered about $300 installed. We chose the Culligans because they have a tap which matches our sink tap. The usual plumbing/home selection stores have a few choices other than Puratap. Re: Puratap - how much and who in Adelaide 4Aug 28, 2007 11:22 am ![]() We love it! Bleh Adelaide water! For years I used to drink London water and, although it's recycled, tastes far better than Adelaide water. As for Adelaide water, it contains all the farming runoff from all the way down the Murray...no wonder it tastes so bad. Anyone know any more? Re: Puratap - how much and who in Adelaide 11Jun 05, 2009 9:39 pm Don't stress... the Puratap Tap will last you for years... got a few kids ... we use it everyday! As for the price it does work out better we switched from bottled water. Luv our puratap, drink heaps more water. Not sure about the new puratap but give them a call... i'm up for my filter change in a month or so... i'll ask them then! ![]() ![]() ![]() Re: Puratap - how much and who in Adelaide 12Feb 25, 2011 11:50 am I think the new purataps they advertise are the designer taps - i have the modern-looking one and its so nice! I love my puratap, im defs getting another one if i move! And the price, when you compare it to spending $20 on bottles of water every week, at the rate i was drinking bottled water, im pretty much saving hundreds a year. i like it that they have long warranty as well ![]() Re: Puratap - how much and who in Adelaide 13Mar 01, 2011 2:18 pm Bought ours from http://www.gundrilltrading.com.au/ They gave very good advice, and we have been using it for almost two years now and it's been nothing short of fantastic. Re: Puratap - how much and who in Adelaide 14Mar 04, 2011 4:49 pm i completely agree with what people above have posted, puratap is definately the safest way to go. Their units come with a 10 warranty and when i bought mine the consultant explained to me about how theres was made out of a different plastic which doesnt stretch like other ones they also remind you when your filters are due!! imagine how gross some filters are if someone forgets to change them for years! at least i know that with puratap im always going to be able to get their filters from them directly, someone is always going to come out and do it and that theres a warranty if something breaks. im definately taking mine with me if we move. It connects straight to your tap, has an alarm when its time to change your filter, the fittings are metal not plastic and it filters more stuff out of your water than any other filter. I just got mine and i love it. I think for the price it works out at around 1c per litre or 18,925 x 600ml water bottles.
