I thought it may be too brown too but it is a lot lighter in large form than it looks in those little chips they send you from Casesarstone. If you google caesarstone latte and bondi on google images you will find heaps of pics.
Browse Forums Kitchen Corner Re: Kitchen benchtops - Caesarstone Latte or Bondi???? 21Feb 15, 2010 7:10 pm goodyear Thanks Caz you are fantastic-great to hear from someone who had the same dilemma. Our tiles are very similar to those in first photo with Latte island - only porcelain. Cupboards white opal which is an off white/like pearl. Splashback we want very pale aqua blue - do you think this will work with Latte. We also like the contrast and warmth of Latte but were concerned it may look too brown in large sections I thought it may be too brown too but it is a lot lighter in large form than it looks in those little chips they send you from Casesarstone. Your colour sounds great. Still curious to try soft aquas as well. Re: Kitchen benchtops - Caesarstone Latte or Bondi???? 26Mar 01, 2010 8:49 am Visited Caesarstone on Saturday - Latte wins and now a new dilemma - was going for glass splashback but now considering Latte splashback ( only have small area) - anyone used Latte as Splashback?? Seeing the large pieces really helps if you can get to a display centre and we took all our tile samples along with any other colour samples we had - wall, cupboards, windows. Thanks to all who voted latte - its the winner Re: Kitchen benchtops - Caesarstone Latte or Bondi???? 27Mar 01, 2010 8:54 am Yay! Lovely colour Shades of green and olive look really nice with it too... just saying... Re: Kitchen benchtops - Caesarstone Latte or Bondi???? 29Mar 01, 2010 5:24 pm Great choice! Ooh latte caesarstone as a splashback as well?? Would look good if you want it all flowing and matching, or you could go for something different for contrast - depends on what look you're going for I guess. Its so hard to choose!! This is to go with gloss somewhat offwhite laminex doors, and polished hardwood timber floors, and a coloured glass splashback - some kind of aqua or light blue. I possibly find the latte a bit too trendy (or too dark for light cupboards) My preference at the moment is the bondi, but I've had problems finding photos of bondi on the net. Then I discovered the US caesarstone website (http://www.caesarstoneus.com/catalog/collection.cfm), and noticed while they don't have Bondi, they do have Baja, and that has the same colour code (3200) as bondi. Some of their names&codes are identical to aus, in others the stone looks the same as the same coded one here, and it just with a different name. So does US Baja = Aus Bondi? I think it does? Here's a sample of Baja and it looks pretty much identical to the Bondi sample I have beside me: http://www.kitkitchen.com/popup.php?sca ... id=3&pct=6 And 3 links to Baja in a kitchen: http://www.caesarstoneus.com/gallery/_u ... baja20.jpg http://www.caesarstoneus.com/gallery/_u ... baja30.jpg http://www.caesarstoneus.com/gallery/_u ... Baja_L.jpg Nobody seems to like Bondi!! Would like to know why - is it too light? Why is the one I like so uncool? Am I just uncool? With light cupboards, I think latte will be too strong for my tastes. Does bondi look good in the photos above? Or do people think its dated? Cazoraz - love the latte - had a peep at your kitchen and as we will have white opal cupboards, latte benches and splash and very similar floor tiles it was really pleasing to see the overall look. Your house is looking beautiful, you must be so excited - I dream about placing furniture and hanging art etc. Thanks a lot. We did decide on latte splashback as well after much deliberation. However your colour will look great. Bbb - I started the forum as I had the same dilemna and the forum helped. The final decision was made by going to Sydney to Caesar showroom where they have the big slabs. Bondi is really nice but it throws yellow. Latte is warmer and more subtle. If there was direct light on Bondi it could look more yellow. The interesting thing was that these 2 colours were side by side in Sydney so the differences showed. The choice depends on your colour theme and latte really suited ours more. Linen and Raw Silk are also very nice but we wanted more colour contrast as we are having White Opal cupboards and neutral tiles. We were also looking at blue glass splashbacks and I ran a forum on this which if you search may help. In the end we decided not to add another colour and stick with latte splashback to keep it neutral but the blues do look great with latte or linen - hope I haven't confused you more. If you live near a showroom it is definitely worth the visit - take everyhting you can with you - we took our tiles, paint colour, small piece of window alumimium, colours of nearby furniture etc Cheers Re: Kitchen benchtops - Caesarstone Latte or Bondi???? 33May 11, 2010 1:05 pm goodyear Has anyone used either colour?? Yes we used Latte. QuantumStone Sahara is better but we got a Latte off cut so saved money by using it. Would go the Sahara though if my choice. No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 6636 2 4686 that will depend on the kitchen bench depth. you'll have to specify it so it allows for both the tap and the sink 1 7400 |
