What you could do I suppose, is have the island bench in honed concrete or corian, then have your other benchtops in a contrasting stone??? I've seen some lovely pictures of kitchens where they have contrasting stone benchtops on the island and wall-benches. Overall, it was excellent....one of the best upgrades we ever did. The joins (4 at the corners of each of the sink and cooktop) were simply a non-issue. You couldn't see them unless you looked specifically for them. Like most things, though, it depends on the tradies doing the job. ![]() This is a corner of the 30 yo kitchen.
