This is an NZ website I just pulled up, but gives you a bit of an idea. . . http://www.customconcrete.co.nz/benchtops.html Re: kitchen benchtop help needed - no joins! 42Feb 01, 2010 4:52 pm There are a few manufacturers here in Oz. Some advertise and others don't Most of the following photos are of W/I/progress so the finish is yet to be completed Also the scope of the works can vary as some clients want a particular finish IE: 'off form' 'Honed' 'polished' 'agricultural' etc so I have slotted a few that met or exceeded the clients 'wants' Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Where you are coming from is where you are going to... What you could do I suppose, is have the island bench in honed concrete or corian, then have your other benchtops in a contrasting stone??? I've seen some lovely pictures of kitchens where they have contrasting stone benchtops on the island and wall-benches. Re: kitchen benchtop help needed - no joins! 49Feb 01, 2010 7:10 pm Re Granite transformations and joins: In about 2000, we upgraded the benchtops and splashbacks in our previous house with this mob. Overall, it was excellent....one of the best upgrades we ever did. The joins (4 at the corners of each of the sink and cooktop) were simply a non-issue. You couldn't see them unless you looked specifically for them. Like most things, though, it depends on the tradies doing the job. This is a corner of the 30 yo kitchen.
