Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jan 21, 2010 8:14 pm Hello Just in the process of picking our kitchen cabinets and the Laminex design co-ordinator gave us a sample of the above for some of our kitchen cupboards which we just looove!!! Apparently they are made from real wood, so I was just wondering if anyone had used them before. Was the cost significant and how hard wearing are they. If you did use them, do you have a picture of the finished result???? Many thanks!!!! Re: Laminex Finished Designed Timber Veneers 2Jan 22, 2010 8:25 am I believe they are like any other timber veneer, but I think you can get themn pre-finished in this product. Timber veneer scratches easier than laminex, but looks heaps better. The advantage is that timber veneer can be lightly sanded and re-coated down the track. It will cost you a bit more than laminex however. Timber veneer and 2-pac are the costly options when finishing a kitchen, but they both look nice. I had my bathrooms finished in timber veneer. My kitchen will be 2-pac, so I can't show you a photo of that: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Blog is now up - http://www.jbdave.blogspot.com/ interesting situation what happened after builder issued final invoice? did you list as defect or not does the building surveyor have any responsibility? ie. issuing… 13 46956 Building Standards; Getting It Right!
