Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jan 20, 2010 12:30 pm Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has done this before? I have received a quote of $1200 to use a non standard laminate in my kitchen, however im sick of giving them money with there inflated price plus they cant do the colour i really want anyway, so was wondering how easy or if it was even possible to just replace the doors with the colour i wanted after handover? I was thinking maybe just the overheads? Possible pantry doors? If anyone has done this was it easy and what was the approximate cost? Cheers, Vanessa Re: Is it possible to change the kitchen doors after handover? 3Jan 20, 2010 1:43 pm absolutely - it is your house & you can do what wver you like to it anything is possible - it just comes at a cost Re: Is it possible to change the kitchen doors after handover? 4Jan 20, 2010 8:09 pm Thanks for the replies! rubber_noggin - i should clarify i know i can do what i want but i meant more of can you actually do it easily, like was it something I could do being the non tool using, completley non handy girl that i am lol!! Re: Is it possible to change the kitchen doors after handover? 5Jan 20, 2010 8:43 pm It really depends on whether your doors are 'standard' sizes or you have a custom kitchen. Measure the doors you want to change and post the sizes, there are also companies that just make cupboard doors, a quick google should get you 3-4. Even if you have non-standard sizes they should be able to help you. Andy You can wash over existing pavers with 10% solution of water and hydrochloric acid, then wash off. The acid will provide for required bond key with new concrete. 1 36966 0 9827 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish.
