Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jan 15, 2010 11:28 pm Spent Xmas break at my brothers house and during the 2 weeks we were there twice I opening the integrated dishwasher whilst it was still going. I dont recall the model but they had high end appliances ($13G Leiberr fridge) and it was near dead silent when operating, although there was a few of us staying there with kids raising ambient noise levels. Now as I am about to plan a new kitchen is this happening to the owners of these style dishwashers? Is there a product on the market with a remote indicator light or something to prevent this? I am use to checking the countdown timer on my semiintegrated Bosch, but wife want fully. With the semi you can easily see the progress of the cycle, the stainless-steel control panel looks smart, and discretely shows off you have a really nice machine. Re: Integrated Dishwasher finished cycle? 4Jan 18, 2010 8:50 am I've got the bosch fully integrated one ... it does have a light that shines at the floor so you know when it is on ... I do wish it was possible to see how much longer the program had to go ... probably shouldn't have gone for the fully integrated one, but it does look soooo pretty!!!!!!! Re: Integrated Dishwasher finished cycle? 6Jan 18, 2010 3:12 pm I run mine at night usually too .. but I wish I knew how to disable the noise it makes when it is finished .... argghh!! I've tried playing with the settings but it doesn't seem to stop it ... and the timing of the beeping is just enough for me to slip off into sleep before it goes again!! Re: Integrated Dishwasher finished cycle? 7Jan 18, 2010 9:06 pm lucyshouse - are you saying that your's keeps beeping when it has finished? that would really annoy me, what brand is it ? Anyone with experience with the Mielle? And at the end of the cycle the door will open slightly by itself for better drying (and to let you know it's finished). Brilliant! My experience is my semi Bosch ends up with a near dry load (without door opening), but my brothers dishwasher (dont know brand, but most likely a high end) left all the dishes quite wet. I would love an integrated fridge if they where not so stupidly expensive. Ours didn't have an indicator light and was damn quite but it was only ever me and one other living in the house so i tended to know when it was on, good to hear they have put a light or similar on them. Mine used to beep a few times when it finished. If you want dishwashers with better drying, try to look for ones with fan drying( eg. Asko) or condenser drying/ heat exchanger, etc. For a miele, look at the roof inside the dishwasher, if there's a vent at the front right hand corner then it has better drying. Or look for miele ones with 'Drying Plus' function ( automatic door opening). 2 2524 I am installing a new Bosch SMU4HTS01A built under dushwasher. I have 2 questions.
