Especially with the grandkids I don't need grandkids to test my fingerprint resistant fridge, I have a DH I reckon I could explain to a child that they can't touch stuff with dirty hands, but a DH nope....sorry OT rant over Re: Stainless steel versus white fridge????? 22Jan 11, 2010 9:47 am We've always had white appliances but with our rebuild, we have bought all SS appliances to match. I have one and talk about having to be organised and I can't wait until the Ham goes ewwww, totally hammed out. I have found I need everything in square/rectangle containers, I guess I don't keep rubbish anymore, I really would have liked a french door setup, big pullout freezer at the bottom and double door fridge up top, but they were huge in depth and I doubt they would have gotten it up our stairs. Re: Stainless steel versus white fridge????? 24Jan 11, 2010 6:27 pm Hi Suh yep, I was totally mesmerised by the 'look' of the double door fridges until my sister pointed out the boo boo she made herself when she changed to this design really happy she told me tho before I went off shopping not so happy for her tho Jazz Life is like a lolly, suck it and see Re: Stainless steel versus white fridge????? 25Jan 11, 2010 7:13 pm Jazzie Hi Suh yep, I was totally mesmerised by the 'look' of the double door fridges until my sister pointed out the boo boo she made herself when she changed to this design really happy she told me tho before I went off shopping not so happy for her tho Jazz We learn to adjust no crap, everything square, no round containers, beer in another fridge, forget plates of food the list goes on...and on. I will survive because I have two other fridges. Re: Stainless steel versus white fridge????? 28Jan 11, 2010 9:10 pm Oh yes, that's true, will have another in the garage until it CARKS and then will get a little one, phew, it's ok, it's ok.....*puff puff, breathe deeply* www.themaxbuild.blogspot.com forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20717&start=300 www.leahspaperpassion.blogspot.com Re: Stainless steel versus white fridge????? 29Jan 11, 2010 11:34 pm I love the look of a SS fridge and all the other appliances matching. Although I'm sure the finger prints will be annoying! The double ones look great but seem to be sooo small inside like some of you have pointed out. I may just go with the practical larger single door fridge, I think they may be cheaper also? DA approved Waiting on a few more Builder's quotes. Re: Stainless steel versus white fridge????? 30Jan 12, 2010 10:05 am Like I said earlier we bought the 610L side by side. Initial thoughts were is it going to be big enough & on reflection we probably should have gone to the 700L model, which is only 10cm wider for an extra 100L in fridge capacity. The small fridge space is a bit of an illusion & may not be smaller depending on your previous fridge size. If you are going from a 520L (approx) model to a 610L model you will only lose approx 40 litres (10%) in fridge space but you will gain approx 130 litres in freezer space. Because of space restraints in our previous home we could only have a 420L fridge/freezer. So we are gaining 40L in fridge space & 150L in freezer space! We are also lucky enough that we have the space to put our old fridge in the garage which has easy access to the kitchen & outside entertaining area so we can utilise the old fridge as a drinks fridge as well as using it for other bulky items like the xmas ham etc!! I think if you can learn to stack the fridge neatly & not hoard old items the space is very manageable & it's a good excuse to keep the fridge in order. I just need to train the wife! For you people going from a 520L to a 600L yeah I can understand but in reality you are only losing 10% in fridge space. It's not a lot. If you do want the side by side option I would however recommend going to the 700L option which will give you an extra 50L in fridge space. Cheers. Troy. We have light beige colored doors with black granite bench tops and when we saw a black fridge it was it, no more looking... Never had any issues with SS appliances - as long as you use the right products to clean them there are no marks. I would love to see a photo of this I can only imagine what the kitchen is like Re: Stainless steel versus white fridge????? 34Jan 12, 2010 7:10 pm Im used to the finger prints from my old SS dishwasher and got very used to cleaning it. I cant remember what the product was but ill be buying it again! Its like a wet towel from KFC and smells like flyspray! no fingerprints and gives your appliances a brilliant shine! Id wipe down with it and it would last about 2 weeks before the fingerprints started showing! Gr8 stuff. You buy it in a box and it comes with about 8 wipes? and you can usually fold it up and use the same one twice And my boys being a bit older helps. I had to look out of the corner of my eye to see if the youngest would need to climb the freezer door to get his yogurt, but he stretched like a little 'elasta-boy' and got it down himself Brass or 2) Stainless steel made - which Kitchen tap is good for drinking.Brass kitchen taps in Australia contain lead… 0 6736 Hi I am wanting some opinions about the build of a steel shed I am going to get one about 4.5 x 2.5 m steel shed and the height will be about 2.3-2.4m high The one I am… 0 14442 I had a similar issue with my fridge not too long ago.
