I am not sure what the best place will be .. but reading all the comments above .. i would probably go for the undersink bin .. Re: Where do you put your rubbish bin? 22Dec 17, 2009 2:51 pm Felistopher I did a bit of research last night and I know the one you're talking about shell! I think we'll go for this one because it is the biggest double bin I can find (32 litres for each bin) and it uses up all the cupboard space. It's the one in the bottom right hand corner of the page. Found it at http://www.thestorageshop.net.au/pullout_bins.html Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Wow, that looks exactly like what I was imagining! I love the size of the 64L one! I'm definitely saving that link so I can order one when the time comes! Thanks for doing all the hard work for me felistopher Re: Where do you put your rubbish bin? 23Dec 17, 2009 7:56 pm shell83 The one we got fitted perfectly into the top shelf of the cupboard, just needed a couple of screws to hold it in place. When it slides back in its fully enclosed so it doesn't stink out the rest of the cupboard (its not a sectioned of cupboard unfortunately ). We got it from Bunnings, the brand is Kimberely (http://www.kimprod.com.au/waste.htm) and they were very reasonably priced compared to a few others we looked at. Not a bad solution as an after-thought, I love being able to slide my scraps off the bench straight into the cupboard below! That's the kind we had in our old house. We didn't bother about it while building this house, just assumed we'd get something similar for the end cupboard.... but the cupboard is a bit narrow, and the only one that will fit seems to be impossible to find. I am SO sick of walking into my kitchen/family room and the first thing you see is the ugly, dirty, disgusting BIN. My husband is a dead man if he doesn't sort this out soon. He promised six months ago to fix it..... Honestly, I think it should be a compulsory kitchen item in all builds. It would be if all the building companies were run by women. Re: Where do you put your rubbish bin? 24Dec 17, 2009 9:03 pm I think ours is exactly like the bottom right x2 32L bins. Re: Where do you put your rubbish bin? 25Dec 18, 2009 7:37 am i've got a whole cupboard right next to the sink for my bins. this is the one i used to have (from Ikea many many years ago for only $50 on sale). Before: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ There's a bracket under the bin tray that's attached to the door so when you open the door all 4 bins slide out. but after a while the bracket seemed to get stuck sometimes so i changed it to a deep drawer from ikea. the wrie basket above is perfect for paper and the shelf above the bins seals off the bins and is handy for a small dust pan, duster, etc. After: Re: Where do you put your rubbish bin? 26Dec 18, 2009 12:25 pm Now you, Jaeger LeCoultre, are someone who takes their rubbish and recycling seriously Fantastic setup! No hand needed. costs a bit more, about $500, maybe in my next kitchen! Re: Where do you put your rubbish bin? 34Aug 27, 2010 10:02 am i am getting one of those cut outs shute bins next time, we have them at work and they are brilliant, i have seen one somewhere which had 3 shutes so you had food/waste/recycling, means i clean as i go rather than wait until after i have eaten dinner then deal with a messy kitchen. I had a pull out bin in my last kitchen it was good but i didn't have it setup well because of some plumbing i had to open 2 doors then pull the bin open, to much work to put rubish away. Re: Where do you put your rubbish bin? 35Aug 27, 2010 12:28 pm Ours is like big drawer, you pull it out of the bench and the 2 bins come out. They are the really big ones. I wouldn't have it any other way and love the whole idea of them. Re: Where do you put your rubbish bin? 36Aug 28, 2010 12:59 am Dollar that's what my cousin (who just built a house) has. It's fantastic and is def what we would have done had we not come into our freebie! The big ones are great - especially for recycling. At the moment it's just DP and I and I'd be a little bit worried about the bigger bin becoming smelly before it was full, so our size is probably ok for now. When we have some kidlets we'll be looking for something a bit bigger though Re: Where do you put your rubbish bin? 37Aug 28, 2010 2:18 am I love, love, love our bin I love how it is positioned up the top of the cupboard so I can wipe the bench straight into the bin. I love how there are two big bins, one for rubbish and one for recycling. I love how it is fully enclosed in the carcass, and has a built in lid that encloses it so no smell can escape. I would always get one just like this every time if I could. I'm thinking of a lazy susan type structure in the corner cupboard with counter top access and also outdoor access to clear it away. Can't find anything close to this, does any one have any ideas?? Thanks. Re: Where do you put your rubbish bin? 40Dec 11, 2010 8:04 pm I wanted to get a bin drawer put in but by time we did prestart i forgot and also dont have much space. What would be best option to go under the sink?? 0 9761 I’m loving the potential versatility and practicality of a bench seat in a shower. Anyone had one of these done recently?
