Pros and Cons? Pics at all? Thanks, Bserenity that would be an expensive exercise ,first you would have to laminate the face of the board in the laminate then laminate the back of the board to compensate for the surface tension of the face laminate then cut the board to size then edge as required ,long way around a short path ,but then again if you have your mind set on a particular finish and the cost doesnt move you then go for it Re: Anyone using Laminex Diamond Gloss for cupboards? 3Dec 15, 2009 1:47 pm Hi Tom, Thanks for the reply. I thought there was a range of 6 colours in the Laminex range for panels and doors?? Laminex said they would provide my cabinet maker with the product (18mm board, in size 3600mm x 1200mm) including matching gloss acrylic edging and they would turn them in to cupboards, drawers and panels. Is this why it's a more expensive option? Oh well, I really like the idea of high gloss and less likelihood of scratches and marks. The colours I have chosen are Polar White and Ebony Macassar, with a Caesarstone benchtop in Snow - hope it all matches. Thanks again! Re: Anyone using Laminex Diamond Gloss for cupboards? 5Dec 15, 2009 6:47 pm I wanted 2 pack gloss but was out of the budget. We got a gloss laminate instead. Nice but not as nice as 2 pack. Different companies make gloss laminates. You should go to kitchen shops and look at samples. Re: Anyone using Laminex Diamond Gloss for cupboards? 6Dec 20, 2009 8:44 am I was thinking of doing Ebony Madagascar in the Diamnd gloss finish for my cupboard doors too but someone told me about the warping factor and that when light hits certain areas you may see some warping. We were considering 2 pac finish but told it was more expensive. Still considering Laminate, still love the look of diamond gloss. Not sure what we'll end up with . __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All new built homes look like display homes... until the furniture goes in. 0 2019 Hi, planning on using the attached stone pieces in my bathroom.
