Tell me about how you went about getting the kitchen designed and installed... What would you have done differently, if anything, in hindsight? Did you consult a professional to have them help you with the design or did you do it yourself? I am a kitchen designer and i am interested in finding out how i can better service my clients to make getting a new kitchen easier for them. Thank you for your time. I read up on some technical stuff (eg bench heights) looked at kitchen showrooms for ideas and looked at shops of specifications of stoves etc. I enjoyed doing it myself, but it was time consuming. As a consumer, I'd want to be be very responsive to what i said - not just say "no - this is better." Maybe something would be *better* but it's my choice unless you explained how it really would suit me better. For instance, a few people have told me the drawers in the kick space under benches are unnecessary (especially in a big kitchen) but as I want them to store instructions manuals and odds and ends, I don't care what anyone else thinks of them. hth!
