In our experience its true, the flat pak option comes in standard sizes, and the 'fit' isn't exactly close, gaps, gaps, gaps. If you want a little quality, the flat pak is not the way to go. On the other hand, if its a quick reno and sell project, or quick fix for a rental property in a 'cheap' area, then there is no need to spend the money on quality. Some of the larger kitchens companies we looked at, including your K*******ers had some good ideas but the $$$ were certainly there. We found our local cabinet maker both very experienced (15 years) and alot cheaper than the majors. In the end, we got a slightly better kitchen than we were quoted by the "big" companies, a lot better quality and cheaper than they quoted. Most of the costs is in the materials and what you want. Laminate benchtops are cheap and nasty, caesarstone is a little more, quartz a bit more again, and so one. Same with the cupboard doors, fittings (handles, drawer runners, hinges) then appliances. In the end you have to decide on what quality you want , and 'wow' factor of finishes, then set your budget and go for it. Obviously, you're NOT going to get a 100 square meter Chef Ramsay kitchen for $1 !! If your in Sydney, there is a link to pics of our finished kitchen in my signature, with the details of the cabinet maker. It was definitely worth saving hard for. We were so pleased with our cabinet makers work, that we are using them to continue our bathroom renovations too, in the same colour theme I just had a look at your photos, the kitchen looks amazing! I am so excited about getting my kitchen done now! I love the idea of how you put the wine rack there, thinking maybe we could do something like that too. do you mind me asking how much did this cost you including the applicants? A question. Im in Queensland and building a new home. We managed to reach practical completion 6 weeks ago but we haven't heard any date for handover yet. Who should we… 0 3053 This is one of the reasons I decided to go overseas for my double glazed windows. As the builder indicated, he's worked on many upmarket builds, these were the most well… 13 15091 Ask yourself if the insurance company will be aware of the Reno. 4 4875 |
