We saw a large variety of colours in the flecks at different suppliers and even within the stock at the same supplier. Were you given the opportunity to pick your own slab? Unless you selected an actual slab and had it put aside for you, I do not think you can do much about the colour of the flecks. We had an issue with some minor yellow staining in the slab we picked which we were verbally assured 100% would be removed by an acid bath. (Or we would not have picked it) Some yellowness remained however and when we queried this we were directed to our paperwork which referred to colour variations being acceptable due to the stone being a Natural Material. I reckon we also got duped a bit with the slab of granite we picked I really dont think it was the one I had picked at the granite place as I was very particular with the 'grain' I wanted but unfortunately I didnt take a picture and kicking myself at the time. Our granite is still beautiful but you dont like the feeling you have been 'had' Always go and pick the slab yourself, its the only way you dont get an inferior colour...also take a camera when you do Mrs B ps....After saying all that, it probably was the same slab and I was just being ultra picky for You have mandatory building inspections and privately engaged building inspections.
