Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Nov 16, 2009 10:02 am Can't go wrong with red can you? For my small kitchen I'm thinking of something VERY similar to this from Mitre 10. http://www.mitre10.com.au/Kitchens/Imag ... hen-Range/ I would prefer white cupboards with Black Granite gloss benchtops. I don't think I'll have any stove in between the cabinets like in this picture. Mine is in a small alcove at the moment: http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak ... 6864_n.jpg I want to paint my doors black and I think it would be striking with the white/red/black coloured kitchen: (Door is on the right) http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak ... 9841_n.jpg Any further ideas? do people actually want a dining table, or would an island bench with bar stools suit a small area better? Re: Red splashback, black door? 2Nov 16, 2009 7:38 pm Hey In a small kitchen you just have to bare in mind that dark colours will close the space up. Maybe you can put hints of dark colour in areas that will not narrow down the larger spaces. I think the idea of an island bench and stools is a cool idea, they did it on homemade on channel 7 when the renovated a house and it was cool. Just have to think about if you move your furniture alot or not. Do web searches on kitchen tips and they usually highlight about natural colours etc. All the best!
