Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Nov 09, 2009 6:37 am How hard is the white to keep clean? I love the look but am a bit nervous with the kids. We will have an island bench with stools and am worried about marks from people (probably kids lol) kicking the back of the island and marking it up. Or is modern laminate fairly durable and easy to clean- even with the white? Thanks in advance! Re: For those of you with white kitchens...... 2Nov 09, 2009 7:04 am We have an all white kitchen & have 2 boys (14yrs & 10yrs) & I don't find it hard at all to keep clean. I just wipe the bench tops over with a microfibre cloth that is damp & then polish it with a dry one. Ours has Caesar Stone (ice snow) bench tops with Alabaster satin poly on the cupboards. I like it it looks really clean & fresh. I was thinking of going the "frosty white" for the cabinets. What is Alabaster like? I love the ice snow benchtops. So glad to hear it is easy to keep clean. I love the look of the floorboards. It warms the crisp white right up. We are having tiles....and are thinking of going with a grey colour. Can I ask what colour your kick rails are? Re: For those of you with white kitchens...... 4Nov 09, 2009 7:39 am white is easy to clean I have white caesarstone (pure white) with Galaxy (white with miniture silver fleck,) I agree, just wipe over. If you get a shoe scuff, jiff, on a microfibre cloth for really black marks, but have one had maybe 2 in 3 years. In saying that my sons have no concept of putting anything away either Re: For those of you with white kitchens...... 8Nov 11, 2009 7:08 pm I'm up to my second white kitchen and will be in my third when this build is done. I have a 3 and 4 year old and to be honest even with all the baking they love to do it's always really easy to clean. I also second the microfibre cloths. They do really well! https://form.jotform.com/240284569218058 Please spare a moment to fill out this survey form for a project. You stand a chance to win a digital gift voucher.
