I like the idea of creating extra bench space with a slide-out bench above a drawer. Has anyone actually used one of these? Can they hold much weight? Would you need to open the drawer as well for support?
Cheers,
Helen

I guess as far as weight goes it will depend what you put on them. They are not designed to hold really heavy objects; they are simple providing you with extra bench space. No you don’t need to open the cupboard or draw to support the weight. But remember that’s not what they are deigned for. When you think about it, what could you put on it that is too weighty, defiantly not your bottom! So there couldn’t be anything in the kitchen heavy enough to upset the structure. Great for entertaining when you need that added space.
