Browse Forums Kitchen Corner Re: Intergrated Kitchen Handles 3Oct 23, 2009 7:44 am Do you mean metal handles or ones that are actually formed as part of the door? SuH has integrated metal handles - hers from memory stretch the length of her cupboards and drawers looking very scmick. Not sure whether you can only have these in two pack doors as you can't cut into a vinyl wrapped door without comprising the wrapping - not sure whether it is the same with laminex? Mine on the other hand are actually part of the door - no metal whatsoever. Drawback with this style is that you can only have it with two pack painted doors according to my cabinet maker. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Intergrated Kitchen Handles 4Oct 23, 2009 8:47 am kyton you say the sweetest things Yes mine are metal and they are a Lincoln Sentry brand, I think you can find them in this brochure, but I have no idea of cost. http://www.lincolnsentry.com.au/Files/B ... 7%20lr.pdf Re: Intergrated Kitchen Handles 6Oct 23, 2009 12:21 pm Okay SuH has posted photos of her kitchen in the Show Us Your Kitchen thread so browse that to see her handles. Re: Intergrated Kitchen Handles 9Oct 23, 2009 4:06 pm Went out to the Lincoln Sentry showrooms at Dandenong today to have a look at handle-less or touch to open drawers and came away well pleased with what I saw. Lincoln have the Blum drawer systems and one of their products called Tip ON is the one to look for. Perhaps Hetich have a similar product - I don't know - someone else may be aware of their offering and so advise, however if you want touch to open then you can't have soft closing on the drawer at the same time. The physics simply prevent this. Thus the drawer front profile is unchanged ie no top edge handle rail or scalloping of the inside edge for finger gripping, and is therefore very suitable for vinyl clad panels - you just gently push the drawer in a few mm and it springs out enough to grip the drawer to pull it out to where you want it. An alternative is of course the electric drawer systems which on touch to open an electric motor springs into action to drive the drawer out but these are some hundreds of dollars per drawer. I have been sweating on finding a touch to open drawer system for some time as the DW is adamant that she doesn't want any handles in her kitchen and I have been having some trouble finding a solution. Thus well pleased at what I found today. I have no connection with either Lincoln or Blum - suH mentioned them in a post a few up viz: http://www.lincolnsentry.com.au/Files/B ... 7%20lr.pdf and I thought I would track them down. cheers Re: Intergrated Kitchen Handles 10Oct 24, 2009 7:31 pm thanks all for the advice and for posting pics. These are exactly the handles I am looking for. I have since discovered that Laminex also have a product that is similar. They sell these for $40 or so dollars for 2400mm wide strips... not sure if the cabinet maker charges more to install these though i still need to research that. But good to know that there are other options.. thanks!!! 3 3992 No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 6632 2 4681 |
