Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Oct 19, 2009 1:44 pm Hi All, Trying to come up with a new kitchen design for the small space in an apartment. Space is very limited so every millimetre counts. The goal is to use a flatpack system but I'm a newbie to all this. I'm a little confused a about the infill/end panels and when they need to be used. I understand they need to be used when a cabinet finishes against a wall or has an exposed face. A couple things I am unsure about though .... - Is there a standard width for these panels or does it depend on the cabinet manufacturer? - Should infill/end panels be used in the following.. - If the overhead cupboards change in height? (i.e. a microwave cabinet will hang lower than a standard cupboard it is next to) - When using an underbench oven cabinet, should the infill panels be on either side? - On either side of the dishwasher cavity? Meaning that the allowed space should be 600mm + 2 end panels? Thanks in advance. Yep usually 16mm - Should infill/end panels be used in the following.. - If the overhead cupboards change in height? I have done it with out them in the past - On either side of the dishwasher cavity? Meaning that the allowed space should be 600mm + 2 end panels? Yep unless its integrated/semi integrated. Re: Infill/End panels 3Oct 19, 2009 9:13 pm If your finish is melamine or 2pack painted panel width is 16mm - if the finish is a vinyl skin then width is 18mm These panels can also provide the heat shield next to the oven. And I think they add to the appearance if used either side of the dishwasher, and also if they are either side of the fridge. cheers yep you need a joint, foam is easiest, will look fine once rendered with a joint. 2 5243 Minimum overhang into gutter must be 50mm, turn down tool should not split the sheet. it seems wrong tool for the profile was used, the flashing cannot slope back.
